Hi all! I was hoping to receive some insight into the processing times when it comes to a restoration application. I lost my status on Nov 17 due to my work permit renewal being refused (I was missing a document with my application, my mistake!). However, I applied for a restoration of status and a new work permit on Nov 26 online. I have not heard back from CIC to date, and am starting to worry. Can anyone advise how long it is taking CIC to process an online restoration application? My employer is getting impatient about my return, its been over 5 months now. And it has been very frustrating to not know how long I need to wait for, as there are no processing times indicated on the CIC website. I have tried calling the CIC call centre number numerous times at various times of the day, but cannot reach anyone. Any help in this matter would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I applied in last week of FEb online
Two days ago my representative told me my application has been approved but i haven't got any document or email yet.
You should call CIC, try again, or try to call them in the morning or around 4 PM eastern times..

I was able to get hold of a CIC call centre agent and they couldn't provide me with any more information other than that my application is currently being processed. They couldn't give me a time line, which is quite frustrating. I do not undertand why it is taking them 6 months to process something that should only take 3-4 months. I feel so helpless.
