Residency Requirement for PR Renewal

Hi folks

We know the minimum residency req't for PR renewal is 730 days in the last 5 years.
If I have been a PR for less than 5 years, when is the start date of the 5 years?
Literally 5 years(including the period before I became a PR)? Or just from the date I became the PR(it might have been 4 years and 2 mths)?
