Hello house.

Do I need to renew my passport from country of origin for my citizenship application? Also, Can I use CLB test result for proof of English. If so, how long does the result last?
 
I'll answer the first question : nop, you don't need a valid passport for your citizenship application.

It is not requirement to renew your passport , but when you surrender that you may have to pay more fine , also in case of emergency it will be very difficult to travel out of Canada .

Surrendering original passport: since we don't know OP's origin country - the rules are different from country to country.
