We have got out SA, but I am curious to see the notes pertaining to the SA.
I understand I have to request it under the privacy act, but under the file type do I select sponsorship file or immigration file permanent residence.
When I select sponsorship file it says: If you select Sponsorship File, you will receive the sponsor's information. If you would like the sponsored person's information, select Immigration file: permanent residence.
if you're ordering notes from sponsor approval, all that will be available are notes for the sponsor, which is the "sponsorship file". if you choose the "immigration file", it will be information on sponsor AND the applicant. choosing the immigration file NOW will probably not have anything information beyond info on the sponsor's eligibility. the applicant's file isn't technically "opened" until the visa office processes it. at this point, if you just got sponsor approval, all that will be available is the sponsor's file and information on their eligibility. it really doesn't matter which one you pick, either way, it's doubtful there will be any information about the applicant, and it will only be about the sponsor.
if the sponor's found eligible, there really is no point in ordering notes until 1-2 months after the file is transferred to the visa office.
