Requesting 2-year diploma before completing main 3-year course

Good day everyone,

Hope someone can share some advice on this. I’m currently taking a 3-year college in Ontario (advanced diploma) and by the end of this summer I’ll have completed all the prerequisites for the normal stream of the course (diploma). My plan is to continue for the advanced diploma, but I was wondering if I could request the 2-year diploma before this so I could apply to the express entry.
Could this have any negative effect on my future pgwp request?
