I applied for self employed in April 2015
File received May 2015
I received AOR + receipt June 2015
Intent to reject January 2016 (they are requesting i take the IELTS and Tefaq exams)
The thing is there is no way i can register for the exams, take them and get the results in 60 days!!
My consultant suggested i register for the exams and send them proof of registration along with a letter requesting them to stop the countdown until my results are out.
He said that he has done this before and it worked they will wait as long as there is proof of registration.
Has anyone faced the same problem before?
Do you know for sure if they will wait for the results?
In my case, they asked for my daughter's police certificate from Libya ... and I kept sending letters to Libya for three to four years... but I was not getting reply.
During this whole time, I was getting deadlines of 30 days and 60 days. So, I kept sending them progress with proof of what I was doing. So, they also kept changing/extending/renewing deadlines.
By the time Libya got embroiled in a full-scale war, only then they waived that police certificate.
So, my advice to you... go ahead with your registration and tell them the exact situation
