I'm presently in India and plan to use my friend, who is in USA, as my unpaid representative.
Any issue with that? Also instructions mentioned indicate representative address as your mailing address on Application - IMM0008 Generic.
So should I mention his USA address as my mailing address and my Indian address as residential address on Application Q14. & Q15?...can someone pls. confirm?
Yes rite, as you are hiring him as your representative he will be contacted by the immigration on your behalf. So when you will sign that representative form it will ask you that you authorise the above person to deal with immi regarding your case. If immi needs any information they will contact your representative.
I was reading instructions guide, on page 33 it states...
A representative is someone who has your permission to conduct business on your behalf with Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
When you appoint a representative:
you authorize CIC to share information from your case file with this person;
you should indicate your representative‟s address as your mailing address on your application form Application for Permanent Residence in Canada (IMM 0008-Generic);
In the second stage form you might have to but in the first stage you dont - i have only sent my first stage applicaation and i have not put my representative address.
I am rite in the first stage you will fill only Sechudle 1 form and family info form with representative form. And in scedule form they dont ask for your permanent address but in the main permanent residence form imm008-generic it ask for the mailing address and that is where you will put your representative address.
