Reporting someone

I was wondering about reporting someone that's been living in Canada illegally. He's been here for at least the last 4yrs and is also working under the table. When I call the tip line am I able to remain anonymous or are they going to ask for my name. I have nothing to hide but same time I'd like to keep the backlash at a minimum.
