My now ex spouse has been in Singapore since February 2019 and we finalised our divorce in Singapore last year (we were married in India but the no fault divorce is valid there).
I'm about to file for renewal of my PR card and although I'd updated my status with the CRA as soon as the divorce was finalised, wondering if other than the martial status option in the PR renweal portal, do I need to provide the divorce certificate or letter of explanation as well?

Thank you. There is an option to upload divorce certificate in the documents uploaded field but when I choose the status, no other prompt appears directing me to provide the document.

I asked because the option to provide it exists in document upload list and I can attach it which made me wonder if it's something to consider providing.

Divorce is generally irrelevant to the PR status; you have your PR status on your own. Exceptions are mainly about demonstrating you are married, not divorced.
Or, as above: if they don't ask for it, don't upload it. If for some reason they need it afterwards, they can request it from you. Almost certainly they will not.
