Renewing PR Card – Do I need to update them about Common-Law Status? IMM5409

Hi there,

I'm in the process of applying for a new PR card online.

I have all documents and information lined up and paid my $50 fee, but I'm confused about this section: Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (if applicable)
I am already in a common-law union with my girlfriend. Is this document just for NEW common-law unions or do I need to update them about my common-law status?
