Renewing my study permit, is it necessary to renew my TRV if I already have a visitor visa?

So right now I am in the middle of renewing my study permit (inland/onshore). I understand that normally I would need to renew my TRV(Student) because it expires at the same time as my study permit, and I will need it to come back to Canada if I leave the country. But I already have another TRV(Visitor) from the past and it is still valid for a few more years.
In this case, do I still need to renew my TRV(Student) after receiving my new study permit? I am hoping no because it will mean more $$$ if I need to, and I don't think I will be going anywhere amidst the pandemic. To make matters worse, my program is ending next year which means my new study permit will also expire new year (TRV(Student) too if I need it), I will most likely be applying for another new permit/visa next year, so I am really hoping to skip this TRV(Student).
