Background of my query is:-
I am on WP from my employer (based in India) in Toronto since May-2018, both my WP and my wife's Visitor Visa was done by my employer.
Later on we applied for her Open Work Permit ourselves (From India), which was approved, and eventually she received a project from her employer (based in India).
Finally, she landed in Toronto on her open work permit on June-2019.
Scenario of my query is:-
1. My WP and my wife's OWP is expiring on November-2019. and I have to apply for our extensions.
2. My employer do not apply for OWP for spouses. They suggested to apply only my WP extension, and after getting extension, apply for my wife's OWP extension. But, issue here is that if my WP extension arrives after our WP expiry (i.e. Nov 2019) then her OWP can not be filed before the expiry and she will have to leave her Job and Canada both.
3. Spoke with IRCC, they suggested to send the extension application of both of ours in single envelop. Since, my initial WP was done by my employer, I can not send the application on paper.
*We have not applied for PR yet, but will be starting the process soon (within a week).
My queries are:-
1. Has anyone came across such scenario, and how did they tackle it?
2. Since my wife landed on OWP, will it be allowed to apply for her TRV (visitor records/visa) extension with my WP extension application through my employer. (i.e. just like it happened in the very beginning). Would it be approved or refused?
if you guys can provide as much information as possible, would be much appreciated.
