I have a quick question on how to keep PR status.

If someone who already got PR but is still working on H1B visa in the US for a canadian bank (say RBC, TD, etc), can he still meet the 2/5 year rule because he's working for a canadian employer?
 
We’re you employed in Canada first for the Canadian bank and have been assigned by that bank to a temporary position in the US for the bank ? If this is the scenario then it might be possible but if you were not assigned to the US branch by the Canadian branch then possibly not.
