Renew child's Canada Visitor Visa

We received Canada visitor visa last year and visited the country once. My daughter's visitor visa expired last month ( got visitor visa until passport expiry date ). However, I and her mom have a visa until 2014. Please advise how we can renew the visitor visa for my child alone? do we need to apply it as a new petition ??
