A friend of mine left Canada with one daughterand have resident visa in Qatar. He works there. He didn't inform the CRA that he is not resident and he continued getting child benefits. Now he needs to renew his daughter passport. He is worried and not sure if this can cause a problem when renewing the passport. Someone advised him to change his residency status only from this year.Any similar experience? What is your advice?
