removed from electoral role in UK

I got notification at my UK address saying i have been removed from the electoral role as they were informed i'm no longer at the address.

This happened shortly after applying for a study permit extension.

Does CIC notify UK authorities of such things?

Not related. No way they are that efficient.

Maybe a confirmation letter of people resident at the address came through and if no response they dropped you. Maybe somebody at the address filled in the form and checked a box that said you were not ther any more.
