You’ve lived together for 2 years? When did you get PR?

I don't think you can stop the deportation. However, there might be an appeal process and you need to find a very good immigration lawyer. In the meantime, your partner has to leave on February 23rd as mentioned by CBSA. If you don't mind me asking, what's the reason behind deportation? Can't comment without knowing the necessary information.

On thé 12 February 2024 he didn't go to his meeting with the cbsa because he was scared to be deported and after in July 2024 he was detained in Toronto at the cbs for at least 1 week and I sponsor him with a bin of 10k to make them release him yes at that time I have a good lawyers and now he has a meeting with cbsa on the 10 February 2025 and he went there that is the moment they keep him detained this morning he has a hearing with cbsa

I’m sorry to hear you had a miscarriage. How long have you lived together and why have you not sponsored him? Does he have a criminal record and how long has he been out of status? Immigration detention is typically rare so there is extra concern about his case.

You are saying that his work permit expired 2 months ago, but you also wrote:

It is confusing.

Being together for 2 years doesn’t mean living together. How long have you lived together in a common law relationship? As others pointed out how does he have a WP given he was checking in with CBSA and this is his 2nd time in a year he has been immigration detention?

They kept him detained because of his past actions .

Failure to meet the CBSA at appointment. Bond was posted because he is a flight risk .
And detained twice …….

There’s probably more to the story you’re not mentioning, but you’ve given enough reasons why he’s detained…. The CBSA can’t trust him to show up

And you mentioned you’ve been together two years ……so there’s definitely more to it

Work with your lawyer. He's going to be coming with unclean hands since he skipped a previous CBSA meeting. It was a mistake to do this and this complicates his case. Again, you need to be working very closely with your lawyer.

I understand and I tell you all the story now the lawyers ask me to find 20k for the bond at the next hearing to help him be release and we can't not find this amount
