Hi Greetings!!
Well my question might be strange but it is bothering me too much so I thought to ask in this forum.
I have received a letter after 20 days of my medical exam stating that “ Dear Applicant, this letter requests that you submit your passport, and the passports of your accompanying dependants, as well as photographs and updated information with 60 days so that we can issue your Permanent Resident Visa(s). Please read the letter carefully and follow the instructions provided. You should not take any irrevocable action such as selling property, resigning employment, or making travel arrangements until you have received your passports and permanent resident visa(s).”

I followed the instructions and sent the passports to London office, as I am living in UAE and my case was registered in Canadian immigration London through one of the known immigration consultant based in UAE.

It’s been 3 weeks I haven’t received my passports back yet, this is understandable as they have mentioned in the letter that it could take 30 working day or 6 weeks to get back your passports.

I checked the status online on Canadian immigration websites which says “decision Made”. As per the website the status Decision Made has three possible answers which are as follows:
1. Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.
2. Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.
3. Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.

I guess I have crossed the point (1) as they mentioned in my online status that they have received my medical results and they have not asked any more investigation on medical grounds. I believe as per point (2) they had approved my application and that Is the reason they had asked for the passports unlike in case of rejection they would have simple wrote or send a rejection letter.
My question is even reaching till this point is there any chance of rejection ??? Why this question is bothering me because due to my job I had traveled to IRAN for 5 times in last 3 years. All the 5 visa’s of IRAN has been pasted on my passport but my last travel was in April 09, is there any possibility that they reject on the bases of my visits to IRAN ???
If anyone of this forum heard about rejection at this level or due to past traveling to IRAN, I would appreciate if they can share the knowledge.

Thanks U.A.Khan

I don't understand why you are worried?! You are entitled to visit any country in the world.
I am Iranian and Just had my passport request.

Man, what are you asking about !!! visiting Iran is not a crime !!!!!!

Dispite the bad relation between the 2 countries, Iranian people are allowed to immigrate to canada .

If they are going to refuse your application Just because you have visited Iran, they would not have allowed Iranian People to immigrate to canada at all, furthermore, giving them recently more facilities regarding the immigration procedures.

As long as you mentioned in your application the number of countries that you have visited by giving police clearance from each country, you are fine and have no problems at all.

Have a look at this link:

Decision Made is after sending medical its normal no problem you will receive your visas with in days so don't worry good lcuk your application is approved and visas stamped on your passports thats way Decision made welcome to CANADA

You should be ok. Visiting Iran is not a crime nor is it illegal.

Relax all is well.
