Anybody can confirm / advise the regulations for PR holders to stay 2 years of of 5 years...? We came for the first landed 31 August 2010. Does this mean we have to come again to Canada no later than 31 August 2013?

Yes - that's correct. As a PR holder you must live in Canada two out of every 5 rolling years to maintain your PR status.

PR holder must spend total of 730 days out of total 1865 days in Canada to maintain PR status after completion of five years....no matter straight or split
