I am a RCI registered special educator from India. Diploma in early childhood special education in Hearing Impairment and Bachelors in special education in Hearing Impairment are my qualifications. Whole 3 years of experience in teaching and providing speech and occupational stimulation activities for children with special needs. Currently learning Autism and Behavioral science post graduate diploma program at Durham College in Canada. How should I register as a special education teacher in Canada to work as a registered special educator? How should I get my equivalence? Am I eligible to receive job opportunities from any institutions offering LMIA support for PR?

So you are at Durham college, so get experience on PGWP. There is no registry for special education teachers. You would have to be a teacher with B.Ed and licensed with the province to work at a school. You can work for ABA centres.
This is my first course. I heard that, it's going very difficult to get a job as in the field ABA intervention immediately after program completion. So that, I may not be able to complete the 1 year work experience in Canada before applying for my PR. I am trying to learn the procedures and steps to reach my destination. If you can provide a guidance, it will a great help for me. .. Thank you..
