Not sure why being somewhat close to the US border and Minot should be a big factor in a decision on where you live.

Connected to USA always a thrill I suppose....and it means closer to the whole world... though Minot is so small airport

It’s Minot not Seattle, Buffalo, etc. Wouldn’t recommend it being a significant factor in deciding where you live.
