Hello all! I would like some help with a question regarding FBI check. I lived in usa for quite a year,in student status.unfortunately, towards the end i overstayed by about 7 months.USCIS officer contacted me and i already showed them that i bought tickets and i will be out of usa soon. They followed me in airport and made sure I caught the plane out of america. My question is when i request FBI background report for my immigration to canada will this show up? I was not arrested and nothing. They simply made sure I boarded the plane. Does anyone with similar experience got a clean fbi report?
the FBI check has nothing to do with immigration. The only things that show up on an FBI check are related to CRIMINALITY, meaning if you were arrested, detained, charged and or convicted of a crime. The FBI record won't show anything regarding immigration, they are separate entities and have nothing to do with eachother.
i suspect though, depending on your application questions, you will probably have to mention the overstay in the US, otherwise you can be charged with misrepresentation which will cause more problems.

Even i agree with the rhcohen. As FBI keeps the records of the criminals having big crime in their country, as you didn't made any of the crime and you just voluntarily getting out of the country except Deported. You are eligible to get your FBI fingerprint with no records. As immigration are seperate from FBI.
