No it would not affect your visa
Diploma is for 2 years and certificate maybe fo 1 year i think....you can check the duration in he college /university website..

Its not advisable doing a Diploma after a Bachelor as it doesn't seems to be a logical progression but a Graduate Certificate/PGC/PGD can be reasonable. Going for a Diploma after a Bachelor makes your study permit approval chances very slim
