Regarding pgwp

Hi I am an international student enrolled in a three year advanced diploma program with coop option.The program has coop terms after 3rd,4th and 5th semesters.Now I was not eligible for coop so I am doing this program without coop.The program advisor told me that the students who don't do coop are on a break till they return.She also told me that you cannot skip these breaks to fast track the program.So my question is are these breaks after 3rd,4th and 5th semesters counted as scheduled breaks for my program,since I am not taking these breaks intentionally?Will i have any problem while applying for my PGWP?
