Hello.
My friend got LMIA and also got work permit based on the LMIA. The LMIA supported 3 years of work permit. Unfortunately he got work permit from 13-June-2022 to 17-May-2024 (work permit for approx 2 years) because his passport is going to expire on 17-May-2024. He already renewed his passport.

now the thing is that on LMIA letter it is written that this LMIA is expiring on 2-Dec-2023

can he extend his work permit further 1 year?
If yes, Is it possible to extend this work permit on border (by flagpoling)?
