regarding break of first semster and change of course

am a international student in lambton college toronto am in my first semester(jan-april2017). i want to change the entire programme and college but the programme is going to start from september 2017 in other college ie.! so can i have a 4 months gap between this break do i have a legal status in canada ..please your comment will be appriciated thanks.
NOTE:- I DONT HAVE ADMISSION FOR MAY INTAKE

if you hold a study permit, you must remain enrolled and make reasonable and timely progress towards completing your program; and failing to do so could lead to your removal from Canada.
