I've first searched for 'refusal' in this forum and haven't found any information related to our situation, hence this post.
We applied for common-law partner sponsorship (outland) in September and in Feb we received a letter of appeal stating that the application has been refused. It mentioned in the letter that 'a copy of the refusal letter was attached', but there is no other document other than the letter of appeal. In addition, in the system it still says 'application in process' so we are wondering what to do. Is it a system mistake that they didn't send this refusal letter yet or we are supposed to receive this refusal letter after?
Can anyone advise how to appeal, if we don't know why they refused the application? How likely is this a mistake?
-I was approved as a sponsor
-no interview was requested
-all other steps like medical, biometrics were already completed

You most likely havent received the refusal letter because it still says in process. When it changes, you should recieve it. You will need that refusal letter when applying for the appeal.
To do the appeal, you need to fax or mail the appeal form and refusal letter to your regional appeal office.
I was wondering what happened with your appeal ,did you win the case or not? because I m in the same situation I got refused we appealed, now waiting for hearing day
