i got a letter from CIC vegreville, AB and they said they will refund my visitor permit application fee.
i applied it in June 30th and they are not yet proccessing. my work permit expired in July 9th. but same day i got a email that my PR application was proved.
anyways, its kinda nice to get money back.
 
I sent a cancellation letter months ago and still no reply for my $1900 application fees. I sent another application with new fees. CIC made around $5000 from me in the last 5 years.
