I am not sure but since no one answered, I will try to the best of knowledge.
You obviously can’t travel to your home country. No. of visa free countries is low but Germany is one of them.
Most probably 2-3 weeks of vacation or any other reason for travel. If you are away for long time they might think you don’t need Canada’s protection but chances of it happening are quite slim. Better to avoid it.
