I am a cameroonian from the English speaking region of Cameroon and I want to seek asylum in Canada due to the sociopolitical crisis going on am currently in Cameroon am I eligible to apply?

If you have proof that you have been personally persecuted by this crisis AND have already tried moving to a different part of the country then you can try.

1. You can move to a different country and register as a refugee and hope to be resettled. No guarantee.

2. Apply for a TRV to Canada and if approved claim asylum at the airport.

You have to be in Canada to apply for asylum or you need to leave Cameroon for a third country, apply with the UNHCR and recieve refugee status and then wait to be accepted. You can not apply directly to Canada from Cameroon for refugee status.
