No you should not renew any form of your home country ID

Agree.....just don't do it. It can have serious repercussions on your application and status as a refugee or permenent resident.

No you can’t renew your home country documents without risking your status in Canada. If you get approved as a protected person you can apply for a refugee travel document. You can be in Canada and have your home country documents expire.
