Hi,

I am in Canada with visitor visa since December 2018. I am looking to claim for refugee here.
I have a question:
My sister has invited me to Canada. I would like to know if I want to claim for refugee, does my action affect on her history? and will she be able again to invite more people to come to Canada for visit? or CIC will put her in a black list that she cant sent an invitation letter for anyone else?

i will appreciate it if you could get back to me as soon as possible.

Regards,

I would say it will probably put a lot more scrutiny on any invitations she does. Where are you from? Have you got a genuine reason for a refugee claim, like your life is in danger etc?

Thanks for replying back. Do you now how I can make sure about it? I am from Iran. I have been abused by my husband and his family. i have all of the police documentation about the thing that they have done with me as well as bunch of letters and records from my psychologist.

With a family member claiming refugee status, it will become much more difficult for other family members to acquire or even maintain visas to Canada. IRCC will see future applications as high risk to overstay. Since family member status is recorded, IRCC will have the family members on file to reference. That said, if you have a genuine claim, this shouldn’t be a deciding factor in your decision to make a claim.

I don't think you have to make sure about anything, it will affect her invitations from now on. But as Buletruck says, if you are genuinely in fear of your life, your safety is much more important.

Was also going to say that domestic violence cases are far from guaranteed asylum. I would consult with a reputable lawyer to make sure an asylum claim makes sense. If any lawyer guarantees asylum I would work with someone else. Unfortunately some lawyers are just interested in money.

My 15-year-old son He was kidnapping and sexually assaulted in Saudi Arabia and now I am separated from work and deported to Syria. My family and I are afraid of arrest and our house is destroyed and my son suffers from difficult psychological conditions.

the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has separated my work on 25/12/2018. My family and I are registered with UNHCR in file case No. 854-18 C 00 381. We appeal to UNHCR to expedite my transfer to a country that accepts refugees as I and my family The Ministry of Health issued a Decision separation from my work no. 16423884 dated 25/12/2018 informing all government agencies and private not to contract with me for any work and forcible transfer. In view of my fear of arrest after my family and I returned to my country, I would like to look into my case and find a suitable solution
I have an application for asylum from outside Canada and I am ready to apply to the visa center near me located in the city of Riyadh, called VFS Global. Can I apply with him and does my case require asylum for Canada?
