Hello,
What are the options if refugee claim, appeal and judicial review are all rejected?
Returning to my home country is not an option and I would like to be able to apply for H&C after 12 months.

- could I keep working during these months to support myself or is it not allowed?
- any idea how long CBSA takes to start the removal process?
- will I still covered under the Interem federal health insurance?

Thank you

-No.
- No idea how long removal process will be if you don't opt to voluntary leave Canada
-No. You are not entitled for IFHI after exhausting all options

Thanks, one more question:

CBSA seized my passport when I claimed for refugee, and now my passport is expired. Even if I wanted to leave voluntarily, I would not be able to do so within 30 days. So does my departure order automatically become deportation order even if I contact CBSA myself and explain my situation? Or will they be able to pause the departure order while I try to obtain passport?

Not sure, but if you inform CBSA within 30days of the reasons, that will still be considered as Voluntary Departure. They will ask you to check in on certain interval while processing your passport. Alternatively, your country embassy or consulate can issue one way emergency travel document to your country of origin, or in some cases, CBSA will request if you choose not to.

May I ask what was your timeline and country of origin
Under what conditions was your claim denied

You will keep having IFHP until you leave Canada. So yes it is valid even after negative decision.

You are right. I've read eligibility group and i guess you are referring to #3

3) Refugee claimants
A refugee claimant is a person who makes a claim for refugee protection in Canada. This includes a refugee claimant
  • waiting for a decisionon whether their claim is eligible to be referred to the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB)
    • whose claim for refugee protection has been referred to the IRB and who is waiting for a final decision from the IRB on their claim
    • whose claim for refugee protection has been rejected by the IRB
    • whose claim for refugee protection is ineligible to be referred to the IRB but who is eligible to apply for a pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA)
  • who gets a positive decision on a PRRA and receives a stay of removal
