I provided a invitation letter to my brother for him to be able to get his tourist visa. Now he is in Canada and wants to file a refugee claim? Will I be responsible for anything since I provided the invitation letter?

No, you won't be responsible for anything.

If any other family members want to obtain TRVs, it's possible they may have difficulty being approved due to your brother's claim.

I am also on the same boat. you said that its difficult to get approval for other family member TRV? if parents are here on supervisa in canada and brother is here in canada on visitor visa. and brother wants to apply for asylum. then is there any difficulty for parents PR (who are already in Canada on Super visa) Pls guide on this situation.

But did you already apply to sponsor your parents. If not, it may have impact on their next supervisa. (which they may or may not need it)

my parents are here on Super visa and visa & their stay is valid for 5 years. My brother just arrived here in Canada on visitor visa

There's no impact. This is completely irrelevant to the PR process for your parents.

Did you fill a form or just a paper to write the invitation? And did your brother have travel history and all other visitor visa requirements?

I don't think there is a section for "adult child's immigration status" on that form. So no, it won't affect their PR application. But if that's still a lottery system, they may not get into the process in a few years.

I sent him invitation letter only and brother is not having any travel history. He is a first time travel in Canada on Visitor visa

Just clarifying that their 5 year stay isn’t guaranteed. They need to qualify and pay for supervisa insurance each year. For example if one of them has a serious or expensive medical event they may not be able to get supervisa insurance the following year. One of the facts that many seem to be unaware of or not consider.

The fact that your parents are visiting on a supervisa and that your brother claimed asylum could raise concerns that your brother is trying to move to Canada because the rest of his family is visiting and labs permanent status in Canada. He will need strong proof that his life is at risk not that he just wants to move to Canada to join his family. Would add that parents PR in Canada is not guaranteed so they may need to return home even if your brother is able to secure protected person status.
