I had worked for a year in a start up company which was shut down 2 years after I left the job . I am still in contact with my previous boss who has another company running. He is willing to write the reference letter for me i.e. me writing a draft and him going through and putting it on the ex-company letterhead and signing it.
I was wondering if there is a format for a reference letter wherein the company is shut down? I mean do we need to mention in the reference letter that it is shut down along with my roles/responsibilities, job position etc.
Will greatly appreciate any input on this.
