Reference Letter and Supporting Documents (Non Taxable income)

Hi,

I've a foreign work-ex where I was paid in cash just enough to support my living.

My income was way lower than the taxable income bracket.

I was wondering if anyone who has been through a same experience may want to share their reference letter format and list the documents they attached to maker the case stronger.
