How old were you on April 5, 2017, at 12:09:10 UTC ?
When was your birthday as per UTC ?

Same thing happened with me. What did you finally decide upon? Did you receive an ITA in 12th April Draw?

When we first entered the Express Entry pool we had 418 points. From what we hear, we should have lost 5 points for age after my birthday in March. However, there has been no change to our CRS score and we have received an ITA on April 19th based on a CRS score of 418 points. We have since 'reported a technical issue' through our express entry profile and sent two queries using the webform on the IRCC website. No replies yet. Despite what the ITA says about mismatch in CRS points being a reason for rejection... It does not seem right to decline the invitation since we have not changed/altered the date of birth. It seems entirely to be system glitch that does not reflect the change in points for age after a birthday. Also, if we decline and re enter the draw our situation would not have changed because our CRS points wont change without any action from IRCC. In such a scenario is smart to go ahead and accept the application (maybe include a letter of explanation regarding the change in CRS points in our application)?

Has anyone here any related experience to share?

In that case, decline ITA, withdraw your profile and create a new one. You are responsible for calculating your actual CRS score and to make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria. If you submit the application stating the glitch in the system, the VO will not accept your application as you would have shown to him that you were aware of the fact that your CRS has decreased due to the age and still you continued the application.

Withdraw your profile and enter the pool asap.

Yeah I can hear you guys but....I'm really puzzled here... How come a new express entry system like the one IRCC is currently using is not programmed to update the scoring for age changes such as mine... In addition, I'm also wondering how come for such a minor change a lot of people will potentially misinterpret the requirements and apply thinking their application will be approved but eventually it will get rejected without them knowing the real reason for the rejection. This obviously clogs the system with more applications unnecessarily... if you know what I mean...

Unfortunately there are few flaws in portal. It is taking time to update circumstances. I have seen this issue in case of Canadian Experience expiry (CEC eligibility) as well. As suggested by others, please decline if not already done so :-).

Thank you for your prompt replies folks. Appreciate it. Has anyone tried to contact IRCC about this glitch? Any word from them or any immigration lawyers about this situation? It just seems wrong to decline an ITA for no fault of our own!

You can report it as a Technical Issue when you login to your profile.

Have reported as a technical issue through my profile 3-4 days ago... Have also written in two queries through the IRCC web form 2 days ago. Still awaiting a reply from them.

I declined the ITA because of this CRS score mismatch and now i get a message that I'm ineligible for express entry! What changed? Whats the solution?

to sum up our situation and for everyone's information... we decide to decline our ITA coz of the mismatch of CRS scores*. when we declined the ITA, our EE profile was no longer considered eligible for reasons beyond me. my guess is that it is a technical glitch because we confirmed that we are still eligible using multiple calculators/tools. we then decided to create a new EE application within the same account. the new EE profile now reflects our CRS score correctly (it reflects the drop in points for increase in age unlike the old EE profile). we then updated the new EE profile no and new job seeker code in our existing account on the job bank website using the update EE profile option/tab in the account settings. since then we have received an email from IRCC saying we are back in the pool. hopefully there will be no more surprises and we are lucky enough to get an ITA in the next EE draw! fingers and toes crossed... thank you all for taking the time to reply. all the best.

*we had a mismatch in CRS scores because IRCC didn't deduct 5 points for age when i turned 35 even though my birthday was before the ITA was issued.
