Received Blank Message from CIC

Hello! I submitted my ITA and got an AOR, but today I received a message from CIC saying that my application has been updated. When I log in to my account, however, I don't see any new messages or any changes to its status. Is this a common occurrence? Should I contact the CIC and let them know I don't see anything?

This is what is known as a 'ghost' email. Nothing will change with your application.

I think it is when someone at CIC views your file without changing any details.

You'll probably get a few of these throughout the process. Hate it when I see an email from them and get my hopes up - only to find nothing has changed

It means they did something on your record. You might not see it in your MyCIc account. But you can see it in GCMS note. It is a good sign. They are working on your file..
