hi my case was disapproved in march now i received a draft of $150 canadian dollar, while i deposited fee for four family members plz can anyone tell me.the returne.d amount is correct,is not, then what will be procedure to obtain remaining money.
At which stage was your application rejected?
It if was prior to going in process at visa office you should receive the FULL processing fees back. If it was after your application went into process then no refund is possible.
Either way $150 CAD sounds wrong (this is the processing fee for 1 child only). Certainly chase this up with CIC.
Wayne.
Refund of 150$ is not sound by any means, either they refund total money or not.Try to contact them
For a family of 4 (2 adults+2 children) the processing fees should be $1400. I am sure you paid that amount.
Do you have receipt of payment - Credit card transaction or Bank draft encashment?
If you have these evidences (copy only) then mail a letter to CIO with a cover letter.
If you check your rejection letter (bottom end) the following address will be there along with the Initials of the Visa officer who attended your case. In your cover letter mention the discrepancy of the amount received by you as against the Initial payment to CIO. Label the envelope appropriately as - Refund of processing fees (Wrong payment)
Add the initials of the visa Officer to the address :
Service Delivery Specialist
Immigration Section
Case Processing Centre
Sydney, Nova Scotia
You can also FAx them, although this # is strictly meant for intimating CIO for address change:
FAX #: (902) 270-3561
Again, be clear on the Subject matter on the FAX form.

thanks all for replying i tell u the whole story i logged initial application in April 2009,documents submitted in Nov 2009, after two years i applied for caips reqest in Feb 2011, the day i received the caips notes exactly after 4 days my rejection was issued (it seems that caips infuriated visa officer) in caips it shows clearly the did not assign any marks except educational degrees of my and spouse.
the rejection letter is issued on 7th April,
The 150$ draft they refund is that amount which i deposited later when my son was born in december 2009 . additon of new family member,it seems that visa officer did not examine the whole file.
i am lecturer in govt college i have genuine more than 10 years experience.the rejection letter states
, the assessment of your application is now complete and it has been determined that you are not eligible for processing in this category for reason(s)noted below
your application contains in sufficient evidence of you performing the actions described in the lead statement of the occupational description for this occupation or a significant number of its main duties as per the NOC,for a minimum of one year continuous full time ,or equalent part time ,paid work experience in last ten years.
i was very disappointed that time and due to father illness i left the case. now , can i have any chance and time to file appeal against this decision.
dear mitali
the rejecton letter is without visa officer initials and it states in end,
any origional documents you submitted with your application are being returned to you. the processing fee that you have paid is also refundable and you will receive a cheque within six months.

It appears you got denied as your occupation is not listed in the 29 category of occupations that they need. If your wife has an occupation that is on the list you can reapply with her as the principal applicant.
