Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had a similar letter and can give an idea of what to expect... My partner is in the final stage of applying for PR and she just got a letter stating that she has to go for an interview. It doesn't ask for me to come, or for her to bring anything, just that she has to attend. Does anyone know what this interview may entail or what we can expect to happen after?
A little back ground - We are married and I am her sponsor. She is immigrating from England. She got first stage approval in November 2011 and has completed the police check and finger prints etc. We have a son who was born in May 2011 and all his info has been sent to the immigration worker.
We are so anxious and nervous and just want to see an end to all of this...if anyone can offer some input I'd appreciate it greatly!!
Thanks,
Renee

hi i get the same letter but from the visa office where my application was sent and after it like 44 days i got calll for interview and they tell me about all thing the time of my interview what i need to bring and than the next day i got e mail with a confermation off all what i need to bring and the date too...so you will than get a call and email i hope that help...good lack
I should clarify.. she was given a date and time etc for the interview, I just wondered if anyone would be able to tell us what to expect from it....is there any chance this could be the final stage? Or would the letter have had to tell her that?
For inland, if it was the final stage interview, she would be asked to bring along two photographs and the RPR Fee (if not already paid), and the sponsor.
On eCase under PR Application - does that say 'Decision Made' or 'In Process'?
A landing letter generally mentions the following:
I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that has been scheduled for [Date] at [Time].
You must attend the interview with the following:
- Valid passport.
- Your sponsor.
- $490.
- 2 photos.
- other things that may pertain to you
IMPORTANT
Failure to appear for this interview may be interpreted as evidence that you are no longer seeking permanent residence in Canada an your file may be closed.
