Reapply for CAQ

Good morning

I want some information regarding CAQ. I got admitted at Concordia University in Masters of Engineering for Summer session 2016 , but due to some reason I have deferred my admission to Fall session 2016.

I have already received my CAQ for summer session . My CAQ is valid from 2016-04-01 to 2018-08-31 .

As I have deferred my admission to Fall session 2016, My course will be completed by Summer 2018 ( 2018-08-31) that is, within the defined time period of issued CAQ.

I want to know that Is this CAQ valid for my Fall session or I have to reapply for it ? If it is not valid is there any another procedure to defer my CAQ to avoid the whole process from starting?

Hi
Since you deferred for just one term, your CAQ is still valid. However, if you still have any doubt, check their website the information is there. You can also give them a call.

I am little confused because I talked about it with my university and they said it is valid.

And I called CAQ department Quebec , they said I have to apply again.

No you don't have to apply again.

Your study permit will have an ending date at 31/8/2018.

If ever, in 2018, you feel that you will need to extend it, just apply for another CAQ in 2018 and that's it.
