Reapplied Visitor Visa for Parents

Hi Members,

I applied for visitor visa for my parents with below timeline-

First application-
Application date- July 23 2021
BIL - July 24 2021
Biometrics- Aug 04 2021

I re-applied on GC Key as per the new rules after Sept 7.
Second application-
Application Date- Sept 14 2021

I received Correspondence letter (BVL) on Sep 24, 2021 on my first application but no PPR. No update on second application.

Does that mean that CIC is processing my first application instead? By when should I expect a decision?

But what changed in your application to submit a new one.

Ok. Not sure that required a new application because VOs don’t consider travel dates when processing. Many times dates have passed when application is approved or refused.

I am also in the same boat. I reapplied on 11th Sep, Received BVL on 24th Sep. No PPR yet.. Have you got any updates after that?

Would suggest sending a webform indicating that you reapplied but it looks like both applications are being processed which isn’t necessary.
