I met my girlfriend 4 years ago when I backed to Vietnam to attended my friend's wedding. Then, we had a long-distance relationship for 4 years. I backed to Vietnam a lot of times to visit her and we have a beautiful relationship, so we want to marry her and I can sponsor her to come here.
To get started the application, I have some questions that need help to clarify my case:
1. My original sex is Female. However, as a transgender, I changed my sex to Male and it applies all of my Canada's documents since I became Canadian. So, I was wonder I can really get married and sponsor her by spouse sponsorship or not ( Vietnam hasn't accepted same-sex married yet).
2. What documents do I need to prepare to get married when I marry outland?
3. What is the best way I can do in order to sponsor her to come to Canada?
Thank you for your help and I really appreciate it !!

Quite simply, a marriage will be accepted by IRCC if it is legal in Canada AND the country in which the marriage takes place. If either of these conditions are not met, IRCC will not recognize it as valid. Do with that information what you will.
The sponsorship application forms and checklists are available from the IRCC’s website.
If she can visit you will need to get married in Canada. However if she can't you may have grounds for a conjugal application. As same sex marriage is not recognised over there it may not be seen as a legal marriage by cic either.

1. Marry her in Canada if she can somehow come here as a tourist
2. Marry her in a third country where same-sex couples can legally get married
3. If 1 & 2 are impossible, you could have a strong case for a conjugal sponsorship. Read up on that here - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rtner-dependent-child-complete-guide.html#who
The important bits are:
If you’re in conjugal relationship
A conjugal partner is:
a person who is living outside Canada,
in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor for at least one year, and
could not live with the sponsor as a couple because of reasons beyond their control (e.g. immigration barrier, religious reasons or sexual orientation).
This term applies to both opposite and same-gender couples.
You can sponsor a conjugal partner if:
there is a significant degree of attachment between the two of you, implying not just a physical relationship but a mutually interdependent relationship, and
you’ve been in a genuine (real) relationship for at least 12 months where marriage or cohabitation (living together) hasn’t been possible because of barriers such as sexual orientation, religious faith, etc.

All my identity now is Male, so if I get married in other countries, is it still call same-sex marriage? I was confused about it
