Hello, I received the email Ready for Visa. I mailed as per instructions, a copy of my passport (I come from Italy, and the citizens of my country can travel by ETA, and they are exempted from providing the original, if I didn't misunderstand), pictures, the filled form, etc., to the provided address in Ottawa. I was asked to send an extra envelope.
What am I expecting now? How long do I have to wait for this envelope to arrive? What is going to be inside? What is the next step? Thank you! Giulietta
You are waiting for them to officially approve your application and send your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR) document back to you. The CoPR serves as evidence that you've been approved for PR. It will have an expiration date on it that is probably about a year from the date you took your medical exam. You will need to enter Canada before that date and have your CoPR signed to activate your PR status.
Thank you for your response. How long should I wait for the Confirmation?I am already working in Canada. Does it mean I can activate my PR status as soon as I receive the confirmation?
