Hello folks, I am from India, i am getting a job from walmart in BC/Alberta in Canada with salary of $4800 CAD as Accounts Manager (2years work permit) through an agent doing immigration business since 13 years in Ahmedabad. Can anyone tell me the authenticity of it. His fees are 40k and $1000 CAS will be deducted from my salary for 5 months as agent fees. He told that everything is legal and i will be able to track my work permit application. Please help.

This consultant is providing jobs outside India in more than 15 countries and he told that i am applying with my spouse so walmart is good to work for both of you at same place.

Consultants don't provide jobs, employers do. And working at a Walmart is not something you can typically get a work permit for. There are millions of unemployed Canadians who can do those jobs.

This is a scam. Don't give him any money.

There are a lot of consulting jobs. But they will NEVER EVER ask you for money. And usually those companies are some names you have heard of such as Tata, Infosys etc.

yes it is a scam.
in India, now-a-days, such scams are happening where jobs are promised in Canada/Australia.
One of my friend's relative, lost 5 lakhs INR in such a scam. We tried to stop him, but he didn't listen.
