I am PR Card holder (fulfilled residency requirements of almost 4.5 years in a 5 year time frame) so no issues renewing PR card. My employer is allowing me to work from India for 6months. I wanted to inquire what's the max time that i spend outside Canada? is it 6months for tax purpose?

How long do you want to work from there? Btw, is it safe? You might not be able find flights to return to the country if direct flights are still banned.

I plan to work for 6months. From Oct2021-March,2022. Returning in march next year so is that ok?

Yes as long as you aren't in the process of sponsoring someone.
