Hi guys, any inputs are welcome. My family will go to Canada for 2 weeks this year before coming back to origin country as we need to settle a lot of things like sell property, finish employment contract before settling permanently next year. Do i have to bring the exact Proof of Funds or can i just bring any amount and tell the officer to bring the settlement funds upon settling permanently? Thanks.

Actually showing exact proof of funds upon first landing is a debatable topic and it seems that it is not required.
You must declare funds if it is $10000 or above in cash and / or monetary instrument. But if it is less than $10000 then it is said that you don't need to declare / show it.
From the experience of few new immigrants, they took half or even quarter of what they were supposed to take of the required settlement funds in the form of cash / bank draft and / or an online bank statement of their home country bank account and there was no issue at all for them during immigration formalities.
