Nurses worldwide are always required with IELTS Exam prior/upon entry to Canadian Border. I am a Filipino nurse and was applying to Canada. The agency requires me a General training module with the following scores indicated in each category, namely: Listening 7.5, while the rest Writing, Reading and Speaking accounts for 6.5 each. How much will be the required band score for me to reach so that I can be accepted in Canada? Is it possible that if my number of years in hospital experience is high - about 4-5 years indicate that the score required in IELTS Exam will be much lower compared to those with less experience? Please, kindly advice me. Thank you s much.
No your experience wont help you much, you have to score as much as is the requirement. Employers usually seek the experience of their own country but not the experience of other countries(except USA, if you work in USA then your experience will be counted in any country in the world but this is just a speculation).
