Hi,
I am re-applying for my parent's electronics travel authorization and CIC has requested three documents:
1 - Purpose of Travel ( scanned copy of flight ticket departing Canada, travel itinerary)
2 - Rental/Lease agreement
3 - Employment Records
Purpose of Travel: So my parents applied last year and they didn't get their ETA approved, they bought a ticket and it got wasted since the airline refused to refund it once the ETA was rejected. If I buy a ticket and they don't get their ETA, the ticket will be wasted again, so what should I submit for Purpose of Travel?
Rental/Lease agreement: Parents have own their place in the country of residence, hence they don't have rental/lease agreements. Would providing the sale deed of the house suffice for this document?
Employment Records: Parents are retired, they are not employed at the moment, should I attach a Letter of explanation telling CIC that they are retired?
Would really appreciate any suggestions thanks

A basic question:
Are your parents eligible to apply for an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) i.e. do they hold visa-exempt passports?
These evidence for Purpose of Travel, Rental/Lease agreement and Employment Records are not of an eTA application. Are you submitting TRV applications?

No, they do not hold a visa-exempt passport but they do hold a US Permanent Residency (Green card) and are residing there currently.
No I am not submitting a TRV, I am doing an eTA application.

My bad, I missed that CIC requested these, presumably after you sent the eTA application.
Purpose of travel: just explain in a letter why they are visiting, preferably provide a daily itinerary of what they will do.
Did CIC specifically ask for travel tickets? Because they are usually optional; it's just a suggestion.
The rest: Sure, those will work. Also write a cover letter to the deed of sale that they own the house and thus do not have a rental/lease agreement.

Yup cic requested these documents,
No they did not ask for tickets specifically, it was under the help "?" icon infront of the document instruction. more like a suggestion.
Would writing a letter be sufficient to serve as a proof of a temporary visit ?
Thank You
