Hi, I sent my application under CEC on the 16th of Aug 2010 , I see many applicants getting RCMP(Finger Prints)requests,
my question is, can I get my finger prints done in advance, once I get my AOR, before getting a
request from Buffalo, in order to accelerate the processing.
I appreciate ur reply.
H Shaheen,
As I understand it, the main reason a fingerprint based request might be made is if you have a common name (if lots of people in Canada have the same name) and the standard name-based search is unable to distinguish which records apply to you.
It is not that common, from what I have observed. And if you are willing to spend a little bit extra, you can get the electronic fingerprints done with a very rapid (3 day) turnaround time. So I would recommend against your plan to "do in advance." Unless you expect to be leaving Canada before processing is complete...
